Work stress & anxiety
I focus on supporting individuals and couples navigating a wide range of emotional and relational challenges. My areas of focus include helping clients manage anxiety, perfectionism, guilt, and shame—emotions that often interfere with a person’s sense of peace and self-worth. I also work with individuals healing from trauma, including sexual, physical, and emotional abuse, offering a safe and validating space for recovery.
In addition, I support clients experiencing relationship difficulties such as attachment struggles, codependency, intimacy concerns, and conflict in marital or premarital partnerships.
My approach is tailored to the unique needs of young adults, adults, and couples who are seeking to understand themselves more deeply, improve their relationships, and foster long-term personal growth.
My Approach
I utilize a person-centered approach, which focuses on creating a supportive and empathetic environment that empowers clients to explore their thoughts and feelings, promoting personal growth and self-discovery. Below are some of the modalities I draw from when helping my clients reach their goals.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
CBT is based on the idea that our thoughts influence our emotions and actions, and that changing negative thought patterns can lead to positive changes in feelings and behaviors. Clients learn to replace irrational thoughts with more balanced and rational ones.
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
ACT is a form of psychotherapy that combines mindfulness and behavioral strategies to help individuals increase psychological flexibility. The goal of ACT is to encourage people to accept their thoughts rather than feeling overwhelmed by them, while also committing to actions that align with their values. This perspective can enhance resilience and self-acceptance.
Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT)
EFT is a therapeutic approach that centers on the role of emotions in our experiences and relationships. Individuals can resolve internal conflicts and improve their emotional responses to situations by working through experienced emotions. This leads to personal growth and healthier relationships.
Psychodynamic Therapy
Psychodynamic therapy is a therapeutic approach that focuses on the influence of the unconscious mind and early life experiences on behavior and emotions. It aims to help individuals understand their feelings, thoughts, and behaviors by exploring underlying motivations and unresolved conflicts.
